    VOICES 05/08/08

I have always been under the mistaken belief that a product that is enriched meant it will improve performance. Ethanol-enriched fuel costs me more money and lowers my fuel efficiency. Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me.

The perpetual muckraker, Michelle Malkin, never fails to astound (5/2, Opinion, “It’s difficult to believe Obama denial of pastor”). Why does she find it impossible to believe Obama when he says he didn’t know the contemptible side of Jeremiah Wright, his former pastor? A lot of us didn’t see the dark side of Richard Nixon, either, and he was our president.

    Antoinette Clarke

    Kansas City

Letter writer Pam Deghand (5/2) says, in regard to Jeremiah Wright, that history is the past. Reminds me of the old saying, “We may be through with the past, but the past isn’t through with us.”

    Sean McDonald

    Kansas City
