After seeing the front page picture about bus ridership (6/23, A-1, “It’s a traffic jam aboard buses”), I realize times really have changed. Not only are more people riding the bus, but not one of the three men seated in front got up to offer their seat to the female standing in the aisle.

I think it’s sad that we let the riff-raff tear up Indian Springs and Bannister Malls. They tore them all up. The police should have run them out of the malls. Instead it’s the decent people that were run out. It goes along with the Power & Light dress code (6/20, A-1, “A dressing-down over dress code”). When they dress sloppy and trashy, no matter who they are, then we need to kick them out.Barb Friend
