It’s a big breath of fresh air regarding the Kansas power plant veto. My family, friends, neighbors and I say thank you again, Kathleen Sebelius.

Obama’s lament: “Jeremiah was my pastor, was a good friend of mine. Never understood a single word he said, listen to me whine.”

I thought it was a little bit ironic that in the April 29 issue of The Star (A1) where parents were talking about the Miley Cyrus pictures, one parent’s comments were that they had 14- and 17-year-old daughters, and they would murder them if they did that. It amazed me that someone would make that statement in reference to their daughters for posing topless. It seems a little bit out of kilter to me.

I thought prostitution was illegal in the United States. So how do our oil companies get away with $3.50 to $4 for a gallon of gas and then have the audacity to announce their billion dollar profits when all of America is beginning to suffer from their shameful abuse? They are a bigger crisis to our economy than the police action in Iraq. Don’t they realize they are the main reason for all the inflated costs we citizens are now facing? And as for Iraq, we kicked their ass, so why can’t we take their gas?
